Sustainable Activities for All at Samui Elephant Home
More Than a Tour – A Commitment to Elephants, Nature, and Our Community
At Samui Elephant Home Caring & Education Center, we believe that sustainability goes beyond operating ethical elephant tours. Our mission is to protect the environment, care for elephants, and support local communities — creating a better Samui for future generations.
One of our proudest initiatives is our “Sustainable Activities for All” campaign for CSR activities in Samui, a hands-on project that invites people from all walks of life to take part in meaningful conservation work.
Planting Forests for Elephants
In Project 1: Planting Forests for Elephants, together with The Sustainability Journey Samui, we planted trees and native plant species that provide food for elephants.
Our goals were simple yet powerful:
-
Increase green spaces on Samui
-
Create natural food sources for elephants
-
Raise awareness about the importance of elephant conservation and natural resource protection
The results were inspiring:
-
30 kg of waste collected for recycling, reducing landfill impact by 28 kg
-
120 trees planted, reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 1,045.80 KgCO₂e
-
Countless smiles, new friendships, and shared commitments to protecting our island’s heritage
More Than Just Planting Trees
This activity was not just about the environment. It was about connection — between people, elephants, and nature and support sustainable tourism in Samui.
By joining, participants learned about the challenges elephants face, the importance of their habitats, and how small actions can make a big difference.
Join Us in Our Annual CSR Program
We’re turning this into an annual CSR activities in Samui.
Every year, we’ll host sustainable activities that combine:
-
Environmental action
-
Elephant welfare
-
Local community support Samui
We invite hotels, businesses, schools, and individuals to be part of this journey. Together, we can create a positive, lasting impact for Samui, its people, and its elephants.
